The Capoliveri Legend XCO, stage of the Internazionali d'Italia Series XCO for the year 2023

will be valid as a test of the UCI XCO JUNIOR SERIES, a reason for further growth and enhancement of the Bike Area on Monte Calamita.

The Cross Country race course of the Capoliveri Legend XCO is a modern 4 km ring of international level, with important technical areas set up in accordance with the current international canons of XCO competitions. Also for the 2023 edition, the Elba race will be the UCI HC category in the international calendar.

The Municipality of Capoliveri, which has always supported the company ASD Capoliveri Bike Park, has strongly wanted to focus on this type of international and spectacular organizational event, to give continuity to the projects to enhance the outdoor offer in the municipal area and throughout the Island of Elba.

The route of the Capoliveri Legend XCO is not impossible to the expert eyes of pro-bikers but demanding, with numerous slope changes that leave little room for recovery for the athlete. The location of the track, 5 km away from the town of Capoliveri, is characterized by a very special context, on the terraces of the ancient iron mines of Vallone Alto, among the colors of the earth that blend with the scents of the Mediterranean scrub and contrast with the blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea in the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, a Unesco MaB reserve.

The Capoliveri Legend XCO is an event with a strong territorial vocation, also supported by the tourism promotion body (Associated Management for Tourism Visit Elba) which aims to consolidate the relationship between the island, the world of cycling and an all-round tourist offer sign of sustainability.

The Capoliveri Legend XCO 2023 program will start on the afternoon of Friday 07 April with the opening of the Race Secretariat and Free Practice on the Course.

The international race with the UCI XCO Junior Series will take place on Saturday 08 April in the morning, continuing with the Open Categories which will see the participation of absolute excellence in the International panorama of MTB XCO.

Easter Sunday 09 April will be the turn of the youth categories with the Elba Bike Legend Young National Top Class competition, an event organized in collaboration with the ASD Elba Bike, reserved for the Beginners and 1st and 2nd year Students categories. While in the afternoon, the very young categories will compete, a regional competition called Mini Legend Elba Bike.
